In Bowral we have a festival every year called “Tulip Time”. During the festival our local park is planted out with thousands of tulips in stunning displays. Every year has a different theme, and this year it is the 60th anniversary of the festival. It’s on right now, so if you are able to get to Bowral, it’s really worth a trip to see the gardens.
Location
Corbett Gardens Bowral NSW
When
It runs through the last two weeks of September ending with the long weekend at the start of October.
Covid-19 Safety
All visitors are required to check in using QR code scanning and provide ID showing home location. Numbers are limited to allow for physical distancing during your visit to the garden.
Additional COVID measures may also be introduced at short notice as per recommendations from the NSW Government.
Getting there
The gardens are a short 8 minute walk from the Bowral train station. You can also access car parking on the west side of the station along Kirkham Road.
Online Tour
This year, the gardens will be accessible for an online tour for all who are unable to travel to Bowral due to standing lockdown rules.
Due to all the lockdowns that have been in place in NSW this year, I have hardly been able to go anywhere. I am so thankful that I was able to get over to see the Tulip Time display in Corbett Gardens this year. I enjoyed a peaceful lunch in the gardens surrounded by a kaleidoscope of colourful blooms.
Here are my photos from my annual tulip fix in this year’s display.
Make a note in your diary for next year if you’re in the beautiful Southern Highlands, for a visit to see Tulip Time in Spring.
