I have stayed at the Meriton Suites Mascot Central a few times now. The rooms provide a relaxed home away from home feeling, sleep two people and are in a very convenient location. Situated less than five minutes’ walk to Mascot station, it is an easy trip by train to both the airports and the city from there.
Well-appointed rooms
More than just a hotel room, each one-bedroom suite is also fully equipped with a laundry and kitchen. The kitchen has a full complement of cookware and utensils that allow you to prepare basic meals.
A lounge/dining area includes a small computer desk and has an outdoor balcony opening off the room. The bedroom is a generous size with a lovely comfortable bed, as well as full-sized wardrobe included.
There is a Woolworths supermarket just a couple of minutes’ walk away, where you can buy anything you need to stock your kitchen and cook your food. If you don’t feel like cooking there are also quite a few restaurants nearby with enough of a selection to please most people. Or else, just hop the train and then the greater Sydney city is your oyster.
The hotel offers complimentary wifi, has a 24-hour fitness centre, indoor heated pool & steam room, and the reception desk is open 24 hours. There is also an airport shuttle service available between the hotel and the airport, which you can book through the hotel reception.
Easy access to the city of Sydney
Perfectly comfortable for an extended stay, or simply for a weekend getaway that is close to Sydney without the Sydney price tag. I would recommend staying here and taking the short trip to the city by train. While you are in the city, take a Sydney Harbour Bridge walk, or enjoy the Vivid Sydney festival of lights.
